Alberto is waiting to die. His friends are gone, his family rarely visits him, and the love of his life has long since left his side. When his son Javier dies unexpectedly, the family decides to keep the news from Alberto — until his granddaughter decides to tell him the truth. La muerte es algo que le sucede a los demás is based on the director’s intimate notes about her grandfather and her father.
